Privacy policy

What personal data Blessing Computers collects, who processes it for us, how long we keep it, and how to see, change or delete it.

Last updated 18 October 2026. This policy covers our website, our store and the ways you contact us.

Who we are

Blessing Computers runs this website and the store at No 15, Kodesho Street, Ikeja, Lagos. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us its data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

For anything in this policy, email info@blessingcomputers.com or call +234 706 490 1525.

What we collect

What you give us

  • Your name, email address, phone number and, if you sign up with email, a password.
  • Your delivery addresses.
  • Your orders, preorder requests and repair requests.
  • Bank transfer receipts you upload to show you have paid.
  • Reviews you post. They are public and show your first name and the first letter of your last name.
  • Messages you send us through live chat, WhatsApp, email or the contact form.

From Google and Paystack

If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name, email address and profile photo. Paystack handles card, bank and USSD payments and tells us the payment reference, the amount and whether it succeeded. We never see your full card number, PIN or one-time passcode.

Collected automatically

  • Your IP address and browser details, which our servers log when you load a page.
  • Cookies and browser storage, listed under Cookies and browser storage.
  • If you allow analytics: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, errors the site hits, and a recording of your visit (scrolling, mouse movement and clicks). Recordings hide what you type into form fields. PostHog, which runs our analytics, does not store your IP address.

Why we use it

The law asks us to name a legal basis for each use. Ours are:

  • Creating your account, taking payment, delivering your order, and handling returns, refunds and warranty claims. Basis: our contract with you.
  • Answering your messages and support requests. Basis: our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
  • Keeping tax, accounting and payment records. Basis: a legal obligation.
  • Checking transfers, preventing fraud and keeping the site secure. Basis: our legitimate interest.
  • Understanding how people use the site and fixing what breaks. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw under Cookies and browser storage.

We send order updates by email and in your account. We only send marketing if you agree to it, and every marketing message lets you stop them.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the companies that do this work for us, and only what each needs:

  • Paystack processes card, bank and USSD payments.
  • Google runs "Sign in with Google".
  • PostHog runs our analytics and session recordings, only if you allow analytics.
  • Anthropic provides the AI model that reads and answers live chat and WhatsApp messages, described below.
  • Meta carries your messages if you contact us on WhatsApp, under WhatsApp's own terms.
  • Resend delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Our hosting and email providers run our servers, database, file storage and order emails.
  • Delivery companies get the name, phone number and address on the order they carry.
  • Regulators, courts, auditors and lawyers, when the law requires it or to defend a legal claim.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

AI in chat and WhatsApp

Live chat and WhatsApp messages may be answered first by an AI assistant built on Claude, a model made by Anthropic. To answer, it reads your message, the conversation so far and your recent orders. It answers questions and hands the conversation to our staff when it can't help or when you ask for a person. It makes no decisions about you.

Our staff can read every conversation. Anthropic processes the messages to produce replies and, under its commercial terms, does not train its models on them.

Data outside Nigeria

Google, PostHog, Anthropic, Meta and Resend process data outside Nigeria, mainly in the United States and the European Union. We rely on their data processing terms, which bind them to protect the data, and on the other grounds the Nigeria Data Protection Act allows, such as a transfer needed to perform our contract with you.

How long we keep it

  • Account details and addresses: while your account is open. We delete them within 30 days of a deletion request.
  • Orders, payments, invoices and receipts: 6 years after the order, because Nigerian tax law requires it.
  • Chat, WhatsApp and support messages: with your account, and deleted with it, unless they are part of an open complaint or dispute.
  • Session recordings: 30 days.
  • Other analytics data: until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy you can take elsewhere.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your data, or stop or limit a particular use of it.
  • Withdraw a consent you gave, such as for analytics.
  • Have a person, not an automated process, review any decision that affects you.

Email info@blessingcomputers.com from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Deleting your account

Email info@blessingcomputers.com from the address on your account, or message us in live chat while signed in, and ask us to delete your account. We confirm the request, then delete or anonymise your account details, addresses and messages within 30 days.

We keep the order, payment and invoice records that tax law requires for 6 years. They are no longer linked to an account anyone can sign in to.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage does the same job and stays on your device. This is what we store, and why. Analytics stay off until you allow them.

You have not chosen yet, so analytics are off.

You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones signs you out and empties your cart.

Children

The store is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, the age the Nigeria Data Protection Act uses for a child, without a parent or guardian's consent. If you think a child has given us their data, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

Every page loads over HTTPS. Sign-in cookies can't be read by scripts running on the page. Staff reach customer data only through our admin system, each with their own account and role.

We never ask for your card PIN, password or one-time passcode by chat, phone, email or WhatsApp. If a breach puts your data at risk, we report it to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours and tell you if it is likely to harm you.

Changes to this policy

We post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect. The terms you agree to when you order are on the purchase and customer policies page.
